Dialogue culture is a prerequisite to build and strengthen mutual understanding and respect among diverse communities, groups in Myanmar societies.
There is no genuine peace without reconciliation, and a facilitative process of dialogue is one of the relevant tools to have a process for genuine reconciliation which is a key for achieving a successful democratic transition in Myanmar while a communal dialogical process is also an instrumental.
The aim of this program is to raise the voices of people affected by conflict to form an integral part of the broader transitions taking place in Myanmar. Through dialogue, the decisions of our country’s social and economic development are discussed and it is important that voices of civilians are considered in transition process.
The vision of the project is to contribute to an inclusive peace process with strong public participation that leads to sustainable transformation of Myanmar society.
The project is being implemented in Kachin State in collaboration with Myanmar Council of Churches (MCC), through the support of ChristianAid.
